Organic Lamb Hass Avocados
Lamb Hass Avocados are a fantastic variety unique to California. They come into season later in the year, starting in July and going through September. They taste just like a standard Hass and are often marketed as late season Hass. We like to differentiate the Lamb Hass in order to describe the tasty characteristics of the variety. You should expect a Lamb Hass to taste buttery, have a creamy texture, thick skin easy to peel, and will turn color as it ripens. For ripening, we recommend placing your Lamb Hass Avocados on a kitchen counter at room temp for 5-7 days. Check the fruit for softness with a gentle finger push around the stem and at it's base on Day 4 or 5 to see if it's ready to eat. The Lamb Hass avocado should have give and slightly push inwards without springing back when ready to eat, just like a standard Hass Avocado. Enjoy!
