It was driven by B. Rahal, B. Garretson and A. Moffat, who represented the Apple Computer team. The car was a modified version of the Porsche 911, with a turbocharged engine, a distinctive rear wing and a red and white livery. The car qualified in 13th position, but retired after 12 hours due to engine failure. The Porsche 935 K3 #71 was one of the many variants of the Porsche 935, which was a successful and iconic model in sports car racing history.
