Beyond the Veil

Out of heaven a new creature was born, His spirit breathed and new life began… At first, I didn’t plan to have the woman’s face. But it really wanted to be there, and sometimes I have to just be ok with what the painting wants to be. If you look closely, you’ll see another face coming through the flowers in the background.  When I was thinking of what to call this piece, the word ‘veil’ kept coming to me. I was reminded of the feeling of pregnancy, and if you know, you can relate… like being more one with heaven or the spiritual realm. The veil is thin. I felt so much more in tune with my spirit and sensitive to everything, even little things like the music I listened to.  This painting to me, represents stepping through the veil that separates our earthly realm with our heavenly one.
