  Paraffin is one of the most popular wax types, known for providing a slow, steady, and smokeless burn while producing vibrant colors. It burns efficiently with an oil content of 0.5%, a penetration of 18 mm at 77°F, and a color rating of +30 Saybolt.   Characteristics: Consistency: Hard Appearance: White and Translucent Best Uses: Container Candles and Molds   Long and clean burn Creates vibrant colors Versatile wax Requires no additional additives (other than fragrance and dyes)   Application Guidelines: Melt wax slowly using a double boiler Pour wax at 170°F – 189°F after removing from heat Add up to 6% fragrance at 180°F – 190°F For wick recommendations, refer to our wick guide These are suggested ranges based on our in-house testing; always test first for best results.   If you add more than 5% fragrance, the wax will create a mottled effect.
