This the easiest seed ball kit we've found. It includes pre-mixed seed ball mud (matrix) and a great mix of perennial and annual wildflowers.  The perennials are native to either the Western or Eastern US. Central states can pic either mix. This is a great rainy day activity for any time of the year. Just a fraction of the cost and mess of mixing your own mud.  The kit was designed by environmental and soil scientist Dr. Blake Ketchum.  It includes a card with visual directions for easy reference.  Makes about 100 1/2" diameter seed balls.East: Sunflower (Helianthus annuus), Yarrow (Achillea millefolium) Black Eyed Susan (Rudbeckia hirta), Purple Coneflower (Echinacea purpurea), Common Milkweed (Asclepias syriaca) for Monarch butterlfies.  West: Sunflower (Helianthus annuus), Yarrow (Achillea millefolium), California Poppy (Eschscholzia californica) , Blue Flax (Linum lewisii), Showy Milkweed (Asclepias speciosa) for Monarch butterflies.
