Yellow Tang
Yellow Tangs are a popular choice for beginner aquarists, because of its bright sunshine yellow color, fantastic shape, bold personalities and relative ease of care. The Yellow Tang is an active swimmer that will glide throughout your aquarium in near constant motion, acting as an aquarium tour guide of sorts to any onlooker who follows its meandering swim path. The Yellow Tang belongs to the surgeonfish family and makes a wonderful addition to the marine aquarium, especially a peaceful community aquarium. It is relatively peaceful and will get along with a wide variety of tank mates, however the tang should be added last in a reef tank or peaceful fish only aquarium. Unlike any of the other tang species though, if it is added with others of its same species when very young they may be successfully kept in groups of 3 or more and will school. They are bright yellow in color, have a long continuous dorsal and anal fins and crescent tailfins. The scalpel at the base of their tailfin is v
