A superb original hand-signed painting on papyrus with matte and metallic paints. This painting features Queen Nefertiti's iconic bust and the cartouche of Nefertiti.  Papyrus is a material similar to thick paper that was used in ancient times as a writing surface. It was made from the pith of the papyrus plant. All papyrus paintings are sent with "rough" edges, easily trimmed to fit your framing needs. Due to the hand-painted quality, the design may vary slightly from painting to painting. The sizing is approximate due to the natural, frayed edges. This painting will be shipped rolled.  Size: 13 inches by 17 inches Nefertiti, whose name means "a beautiful woman has come," was the queen of Egypt and wife of Pharaoh Akhenaten during the 14th century B.C. She and her husband established the cult of Aten, the sun god, and promoted Egyptian artwork that was radically different from its predecessors.
