School of Art, Yale University, New Haven, CT, USA. 18 x 29, printed four-color letterpress (two black runs) with hand-cut linoleum blocks and set in Univers 65 on archival Mohawk Superfine; quantity printed unknown (perhaps not more than fifteen). Design by Robert Jensen. Original poster published for Matter’s first, one-man major retrospective exhibition held at the A & A Gallery, School of Art, Yale University, 180 York Street, New Haven, CT., from January 16th through February 3rd, 1978. With a distinctive and expressive “M” slab-serif (in honor of Matter) printed in black, blue, yellow and red; the same as printed on the exhibition catalog’s front cover.
