Design and typography by Jan Tschichold. Two years after his arrival in Switzerland (from Germany), Tschichold published his second handbook devoted to modern typography and graphic design. In this volume he continues to advocate for the meaning and goals of “Die neue Typographie” yet less rigorous and more practical and without political undertones; he was now thirty years young; practiced combining typefaces and even set the book in Bodoni with the slab serif City by Georg Trump.
