CARR, Robert, ed.
Boise, ID: Smurfs In Hell, 1987. [34]pp; illus. 4to. Side-stapled in illustrated yellow wraps. Fine. An as-new copy of the fourth issue of this wickedly satirical zine taking aim at Regan-era American culture. Targets of this issue's punk-inflected scorn include the National Public Safety Board, Boise State University, Mothers Against Drunk Driving, the Republican Party, Mastercard, the nuclear-industrial complex, Mao Zedong (by way of Kaopectate), etc. With black-and-white illustrations, photo-collages, and comix throughout. Laid in to this copy, presumably as issued, are two corner-stapled leaves containing blurbs and ordering information for previous issues, respectively. OCLC locates eight institutions with holdings of this periodical, all issues of which are uncommon in the trade.
