About This Course Your Course Instructor Course Formats This 9 hour course by Kevin Scheel will provide the trainee with information and issues related to specific treatment settings that address needs of patients who have a psychiatric disorder in combination with an alcohol and other drug (AOD) use disorder. The course contains information that focuses on essential programming for clients with COD that can be readily offered in most substance abuse treatment settings. It will also explore the particular needs of people with COD within these key populations: homeless persons, criminal justice populations, women, and HIV/AIDS. It is primarily intended for addiction treatment staff. However, it contains information and treatment recommendations that can be used by healthcare providers in a variety of treatment settings.
