He arrived in Los Angeles at the age of twenty-two to pursue a career in the aerospace industry. After working as an electrical and mechanical design engineer with Douglas, Hughes and Lockheed, and having classified and confidential clearance on the Skybolt and Apollo moon orbiters, he retired and then began painting.
