About the Winery:Pietradolce, means sweet stone in Italian and is an ode to Etna. The volcanic soil covering the slopes is very stony, sandy and mineral-rich. The Etna volcanos abundant mineral components and microclimate cool nights, warm days and wide-ranging temperature variations give Pietradolce wines extraordinary richness, minerality, fragrance and depth.Notes from the Winemaker:Pietradolce Etna Rosato is 100% Nero Mascelese obtained from a single vineyard, characterized by a unique microclimate. This is Contrada Zottorinoto at 750 meters above sea level. The Nerello Mascalese grapes, cultivated in the classic “sapling” shape on sandy-loam soil with abundant rock, are harvested at the beginning of October.
