About the Artwork:  I cried ... "Purple Tears" Some artworks are created out of pure emotion. This artwork is one of those, and it is very special to me. I created this art in the days following April 21, 2016, the day the iconic musical artist Prince left this world. I created this art then, but I never released it, until now.  I was crushed by the news. Prince and his music were always present throughout my life, and is tied to many memories. The Purple Rain tour was the very first concert I had ever attended! (and what a first it was indeed - insert wink eye! ) To this day, there isn't a time that his music doesn't put me into a great mood. It just connects with me. I connect with him, as an artist, we had many things in common. I understood a lot. Those sad days that followed his death, I listened to his music and found myself creating this beautiful, seductive, mysterious, and sad purple lady. She cries "Purple Tears", like we all did.
