About the Collection Fourteen arrangements for a High School bass section, prepared for a regional festival orchestra.  Mostly unison with piano, three unaccompanied, including canons. Includes anonymous, "Woodicocke;" Bach, "Sheep May Safely Graze;" Handel, "Largo;" Haydn, "The Spacious Firmament on High" and two canons; Billings, "When Jesus Wept;" Mozart, "In diesen heil'gen Hallen;" Beethoven, "Die Ehre Gottes aus der Natur" and "Ich liebe dich;" Schubert, "Litanei;" Verdi, "Alle vita che t'arride;" Brahms, two folk songs; Saint-Saens, "The Elephant;" Sousa, "The Liberty Bell." About the Arranger Andrew Kohn teaches string bass, music theory, and Music in World Cultures. He holds his Ph.D. from the University of Pittsburgh and received the only AD in double bass awarded by the Peabody Conservatory. His principal teachers included Eric Moe, Pablo Ortiz, Eugene Levinson, Eldon Obrecht, and Barry Green. The former principal bassist of the National Chamber Orchestra and Harrisburg Sym
