David Heyes: Two by Two, 7 Easy Duets for Double Basses

About the Collection Two by Two is a fun, colorful, and inventive collection of seven easy double bass duets which are playable by a student and a teacher, by two students or two friends, and are ideal as study or concert repertoire. Primarily in bass clef and offering musical and technical challenges in equal measure, they use different keys and time signatures to add contrast and variety. Composed to create accessible new concert repertoire for David Heyes to play with his younger students, each duet features a limited number of skills and techniques which have been successful in performance and popular with students and audiences alike. Bass 1 is playable by the student, accompanied by Bass 2 (teacher), and each duet is meant to be a fun exercise in duet playing, and to develop musical and ensemble skills. Enjoy!
