Shelter Half tents were worn as ponchos in the field, then when troops would camp for the night, two soldiers would join their 'half' tents to form a whole tent! An ingenious piece of multifunctional military design. We have preserved as many of the original details and buttons of the tent itself and incorporated the original seams into the design. Lined with designer deadstock quilted 100% silk. Batting inside the quilted silk makes this garment extremely warm (for summertime we will reduce the fill weight).
