The wonderful Romance Opus 50 has been a staple in bassist's repertoire for over 50years. Originally in F Major is was transposed to Bb Major with solo tuning resulting in a C Major performance. Over the years bassist have revisited the work and now it is common to hear the work in many keys. The two most popular are Bb Major for orchestra tuning (1st note Bb above the bass clef staff in orchestra orchestra tuning) and C Major for solo tuning (1st note Bb above the bass clef in solo tuning).
