Welded Nails and Ribbon Mahogany Wall Art

Blackened steel frames a beautifully figured piece of solid Ribbon Mahogany (Sapele). An overlaid grid of welded nails creates a slightly industrial and gothic contrast against warm natural wood tones. Copper spikes pierce through the steel sides and lock the wood inside. All steel has been torch blackened and patinated, then thoroughly sealed. Wood has been finished with a hand rubbed satin lacquer and felt burnished wax. Dimensions are: 36" H x 12" W x 1.25" D Mounting hardware allows for vertical or horizontal hanging Signed, Dated, and Numbered for authentication. This piece is currently carrying about a 3-6 week turnaround.
