Kemtec™ Blood Typing Classroom Kit (Saliva)

The ABO Blood Typing Kit is an exciting and unique educational tool that allows students to determine their ABO blood type without drawing blood. The kit includes real antisera for demonstrating true ABO blood typing agglutination reactions. Students use their own saliva, and secretors (80% of students) will be able to determine their ABO blood type. The kit is ideal for students in advanced biology, physiology, or biochemistry, and includes an enhanced instructor's manual with background information, reproducible student worksheets, and complete answer keys. It is important to note that the Antisera and Blood Cells provided in the kit are perishable and should be refrigerated to prolong their shelf life. A reply card is included for ordering blood cells and lectin, which must be shipped 2nd-day air on the ice during the summer months. The materials provided in the kit are sufficient for 24 students working in groups of 4, and a centrifuge or prolonged settling is required.
