How do you make such an iconic guitar better and your own? Read on. The Y-7, a 7 string version of the Young, is obviously influenced by the infamous Gibson SG and the players who played it. At Dream Studios, we never want to be a "Me Too" company, and we had a real tough time deciding on to put this guitar into production. But after heavy, heavy deliberation and listening to a ton of Fugazi, AC/DC, Doors, and Black Sabbath we decided we had to do it. How do you make such an iconic guitar better and your own? Read on. Starting with a Solid Mahogany body, and set Mahogany neck with a super radiused and access back, we took the traditional SG shape and started giving it a modern twist and flavor. Rather than go with a more modern 1.75' thickness, we chose a vintage 1.5" thickness, and radiused the body and rounded out the shape, while still keeping the traditional style of horns. Now to keep true to the playability of a traditional "Rock God" guitar, we kept the set neck with a 22 Jumbo
