Living on the outskirts of Los Angeles, I grew up with the Lakers being a constant talking point to many friends around me. Even when I didn't follow the sport that well, I was still a fan of the LA Lakers; it was hard not to be. And Kobe was at the heart of the team for so many years. When he passed in that tragic helicopter accident, I was compelled to draw a memorial for him; the Basketball God who left us. Kobe was first hand drawn with graphite and then brought into Photoshop for some color tweaking and poster creating!
