Drew says of the inspiration for this painting:  Just finished this painting of Cloud Break, it is probably the best left big wave in the world, located in Fiji on a far outer reef. It looks like a cloud bank on the horizon. I have dreamed of surfing it my whole life. I got to watch it 20 years ago go from a boat when it was huge no one out. I could not surf it because it was private then. I just had to mind surf it. Last year on my road to recovery I was able to go to @tavaruaislandresort and surf it for the first time. Even though it was small I enjoyed every moment I was there. I am wishing all my friends surfing today in the @wsl, giant tube rides. The true name is “KuruKuru Mailani” Thunder from the Heavens.
