90 Days to Maturity. Certified Organic. Incredibly sweet, caramel colored squash. Like an acorn-type in shape, but with larger fruit, a tan skin, and much better storage capacity. High yielding and very well adapted for the Midwest. Vigorous, long vines needs space to grow. Thelma Sanders is a Slow Food Ark of Taste variety, and the honor is well earned. It's amazing productivity coupled with incredible flavor make this variety a true gift from the past. Transplant or direct seed after last frost. Start indoors 2-3 weeks prior to planting, and transplant at 1st or 2nd true leaf. Cover against pests from planting until flowering if possible. Cure for 2 weeks for optimal flavor, then eat through January.
