Tomatillo Verde Heirloom Green Tomatillo - Organic

65 Days to Maturity. Certified Organic. Early ripening and high yielding green tomatillo. Imperative for salsa verde and excellent any recipe that needs a tangy zip. Long vines require staking. Becomes sweeter but more seedy as husk dries down when fruit matures. Transplant. Sow indoors 4-6 weeks before last frost date. Vigorous plants benefit from some trellising to keep foliage and fruit off the ground. Plants cannot self-pollinate, so at least 2 plants (and preferably more) are needed for successful harvests. Harvest when husks are full and beginning to burst apart for optimal texture and tart flavor. Nothing beats tomatillo salsa!
