About 85 day to maturity.  UC Tigers Eye is a modern, disease-resistant take on this classic heirloom dry bean, developed by Travis Parker and Dr. Paul Gepts of UC Davis. Despite its California origins, this is a perfect dry bean variety for Midwest growers, where bean common mosaic virus is endemic. Stunning looks are accompanied by excellent flavor.  Direct sow once soil temperatures have reached 65F and there is no risk of frost. Should be bush habit, but occasional plants will throw off tendrils. Allow to dry down in field until pods and pedicel are brown, but do not allow to shatter/split - can finish drying down on screens. Threshes easily from pod by stomping on tarp or in pillow case. Resistant to Bean Common Mosaic Virus. 50 seeds per packet.  Seed Source Information: Developed by Travis Parker and Dr. Paul Gepts of UC Davis to bring disease resistance and productivity of modern beans to the culinary quality and stunning appearance of heirloom varieties.  Lot # BB-UT-1035-2
