Val-Aux-Vent Shallot - Organic

100 Days to Maturity. Certified Organic. Shallots pack a lot of sweet allium flavor in a small vessel. These store great into the winter! Photo is winter stored bulbs getting planted in the spring, we only planted the shallots that hadn't sprouted yet! Transplant. Sow indoors 6-8 weeks before last frost and plant out in Spring once the ground can be worked. Shallots are smaller than onions and can be planted closer together 4-6" apart. Harvest when the green onion tops fall down and cure in a dry and dark space. Store in similar conditions and enjoy through the winter!
