Where land meets sea on the Oregon Coast, rugged formations rise dramatically from the rolling waves—remnants of ancient, rocky headlands that were eroded over time by the rhythm of the sea. These isolated outcrops of rock standing in the Pacific Ocean, called sea stacks, are a visual delight.  Photographer Meagan Puett visited the windswept shoreline of the Oregon Coast, camera in hand, and captured this spectacular shot on a warm summer day. She paid close attention to the composition, using the rule of thirds to position the sea stacks in a way that draws the eye into the frame. This technique helps create a sense of balance and guides the viewer’s gaze through the photograph.
