DJ and composer Arnaud Rebotini's soundtrack to Robin Campillo's 2017 film 120 battements par minute (120 Beats per Minute), winner of the Grand Prix at the 2017 Cannes Film Festival. House music broke through in France in 1987, at the same time when AIDS arrived in the country with the first contamination peak in gay and drug addict circles. In 1989, the founders of advocacy group Act Up-Paris knew that the fight against AIDS and triumphant house music should be joined together.
