The dual playing surfaces provide a variety of tone and the fixed internal snares give it that snap. The handcrafted, eight-sided cajon features a hardwood top. The wood top responds well to hands, mallets or rods. The Octo-Snare is made with a 5 inch deep, natural finish shell of 9-ply Baltic birch.
