To me, it looked and felt the thing that held the jewel-shaped hard candy when I was a kid. But there's a lot of people out there that have difficulty with lens insertion and need creative solutions. In these past few years I've had more than enough feedback from actual users of the ring applicator to indicate it's an extremely useful tool for many people, though - like everything - not everyone.  I heard from a customer in 2018 with 15mm lenses who had difficulty with the lens not coming off the applicator. I contacted the manufacturer and they recommended trying the one with the smaller bowl - for mini sclerals and hybrids - so we are now stocking that one as well, and to be on the safe side I'm going to sugges
