This tool seems reasonably well designed for the purpose and is easy to use. My suggestion would be to use it after a warm compress. From a safety standpoint, I STRONGLY advise against heating this device more than slightly. If you want to run it under warm water to make it body temperature or slightly warmer, fine, but it cannot possibly perform the function of a warm compress and it is way too easy to dangerously overheat it. All items for heating the lids need caution but this one heats up VERY fast and poses a real risk of burning if you are not very careful. DO NOT OVERHEAT. I ran this under hot water and was astonished how hot it got, how quickly it got hot, and
