The seventh edition is a new book, produced in response to the newly re-articulated Course and Exam Description (CED) curriculum introduced by the College Board in Fall 2019. The authors, David Hostage, Patsy Mueller, and Roger Kugel, present thirteen chapters, each featuring a clear and concise review of the topics being covered. Each chapter ends with twenty-five multiple-choice questions in the current exam format, each with four possible options as answers. Approximately half of the multiple-choice questions are presented in item sets. Each chapter also has several multi-part free-response questions about that topic in the new style, most chapters with two long and two short items. The book includes four complete sample examinations in the new exam format, an increase of one exam from the previous edition.
