Hard Chrome Frame Service – 1911 / 2011 Frames This service includes hard chrome plating for 1911 and 2011-style steel frames. Material RequirementFrames must be made from steel. Carbon steel or aluminum frames are not eligible for hard chrome plating. Overhaul RequirementIf you are sending a complete pistol or complete lower (frame with internals installed), an Overhaul Service must be selected in addition to hard chrome plating. The overhaul covers full disassembly and reassembly required for proper plating. If you are sending stripped parts only, an overhaul service is not required.
