Matshona Dhliwayo once said, “Roses do not bloom hurriedly; for beauty, like any masterpiece, takes time to blossom.” Tom Ford’s Rose Prick has been blooming for a long time, and the masterpiece is finally here. Discussions surrounding this fragrance have been unfolding like origami in reverse, and our patience was wearing thin. Often times, we wait until a fragrance is hard to come by before we seek a bottle. In the case of Rose Prick, we kept our eyes peeled and worked overtime to create our inspired expression. Rosa’s Thorn is our inspired expression of this most recent salaciously titled creation, and we couldn’t be more satisfied. A burst of pepper introduces a blend of rose that includes May rose, Turkish rose, and Bulgarian rose. The depth of the floral ingredients is complemented by smooth tonka bean and earthy patchouli in the base that ground the fragrance.
