Antique Japanese Pewter Box

An antique Japanese pewter box. The rare metal box is heavy and collapsing on the sides. A great primitive look, however the exterior lid has a wonderful etched garden depiction. The hinged box also has a knob handle of undetermined origin. The box is relatively heavy, may contain a high amount of lead, and measures approximately 7 1/4" x 5 3/8" x 3" tall including knob.
