Chaotic End Grain Butcher Block (#27)

End grain cutting boards offer greater durability and a beautiful pattern that is functional artwork. A chaotic pattern such as this is attained by cutting and reassembling the board several times until no discernable symmetry remains. Butcher blocks are heavier than normal cutting boards, ensuring this block will last long enough to be handed down as a family heirloom. This block is constructed of dense hardwoods black walnut, hard maple, and cherry. A 5/8" juice grooves along the top surface keeps liquids from spilling onto countertops, and rubber feet on the bottom prevent moisture from being trapped under the board, and also provides a gap under the board to aid lifting it up. This is a true piece of art that will awe your guests! Like all Dumke Designs boards, this is finished with Dumke Designs board butter made from two simple ingredients: mineral oil and beeswax.
