The Bread side tables, designed by Faye Toogood for Tacchini, arise from an unconventional, experimental and deeply sensory creative process. As the name suggests, the inspiration comes directly from the kitchen: a sliced and stacked loaf of bread becomes the starting point for a sculptural reflection on everyday forms. The two small tables develop as organic structures with soft, irregular lines, fashioned from solid ash with a finish that enhances its natural grain, giving it a warm, living look. Making the design even more poetic is themaple inlay that characterizes the top, visually evoking the image of a slice of buttered bread.
