God bless ’em.There are a handful of tuning companies so good at what they do, they’ve been bought by the automaker they specialize in and brought in house. Names like Polestar, Alpina, and AMG. What AMG in particular did — first as a racing team and then as a boutique builder of Mercedes-Benz performance vehicles — is the blueprint for success in the tuning business.
