With a body of cartilage rather than bone, stingrays belong to the same family as Sharks. Their eyes locate on top of their bodies, and they have open gill slits located on their bellies. Stingrays swim by flapping their fins in a similar way to a bird. The main predators of stingrays are, ironically, also sharks. Maybe that’s why their skeletons have some kind of grumpy faces when you look at the bottom side.This whole piece of stingray skeleton I made is attached with magnet on the bottom, so you can mount them onto the shadow box safely with ease.
