Antique Chinese High York Back Armchair

This 20 century high yoke back armchair has a back splat with nicely carved dear, crane, flowers on the branch and lilies and protruding crest rail. The restoration is intentionally kept to the minimal. The well-aged original finish leaves beautiful patina all over this chairs.  The high yoke back armchair was also commonly called “Official Hat Chair” because of its resemblance to the wing-like brimmed government official hat.
