This pair antique Chinese high yoke back armchairs has a back splat adorn with nicely carved Buddhism symbol for peace and dear, flowers on the branch and protruding crest rail. The restoration is intentionally kept to the minimal. The well-aged original finish leaves beautiful patina all over the chairs.  The high yoke back armchair was also commonly called “Official Hat Chair” because of its resemblance to the wing-like brimmed government official hat.
