1951 Tennessee License Plate University of Tennessee Decor 31-3705

Here we have a vintage 1951 Tennessee license plate. This plate features the iconic state shape design and the number 31-3705. The orange and white color scheme was selected by the state as an ode to the University of Tennessee, which also happened to coincide with their 1950 and 1951 NCAA National Championship wins. This piece would be great for a Vols alum or fan! Tennessee issued license plates in the shape of the state from 1936 through 1956, when in 1957 the Federal Government mandated standard rectangular plates for all states. This plate was issued in county 31, Campbell County. Tennessee shaped plates are highly collectable and look great as wall decor.
