Japanese Stackable Tin Drinkware Set for Sake, 2 Sizes
Meet our Suiu Sake Tin Drinkware Set, inspired by the shape of a traditional Japanese rice cake, "Kagami-mochi" and hadcrafted by Osaka Suzuki, a maker of Osaka Naniwa pewterware, established by Yaichiro Imai in 1949 as a group of five tinsmiths wanting to preserve their craft. It is made of tin, which is known for traditional Japanese crafts and known to enhance the taste of sake to a smoother and mellower finish. Tin is said to purify water by absorbing impurities and has been used to make drinkware for 1,300 years. Engraved on the bottom is a proof mark of the authenticity of tin (authentic tin generally contains 95% to 97% tin, warranted by the Tinware Business Cooperative Association). Tin drinkware is easy to care as it is resistant to oxidizing and rusting. It comes beautifully packaged in a paulownia wooden gift box.
