A collaborative Article with our friends at 18 East. Modeled after the protective and insulating gloves used by 20th Century military. The free forefinger and thumb, originally designed to accommodate weaponry is best used today for long range acoustic devices in avian observation.  Made from: dabu dyed, organic cotton fleece and 'bark' jacquard weave. This material undergoes a traditional Rajasthani dabu mud-resist dyeing process, where a mud-based paste is applied to the garment's reverse side. This application selectively blocks dye absorption, resulting in a surface with natural patterning and enhanced textural richness.
