Red Wine- Iron Gall Calligraphy Ink - 100 ml beaker w/wax sealed cork (Lg.)

SOLD IN STORE ONLY This ink differs from modern pigment-based ink in that there are no particles to inhibit flow. The ink appears grey with a hint of wine red upon initial contact with paper then over the next several seconds it deepens as it oxidizes to a rich burgundy-black!  Smooth as silk, writes like a fox. Writes like a velvet dream and you can achieve super fine hairlines unlike with pigment inks.  ALSO: it has a higher pH (less acid) than standard iron galls to slow the possibility of corrosion. Always clean nib immediately after use. Available in two sizes: 100ml Erlenmeyer beakers with wax-sealed cork stoppers and 125ml (dropper).
