Allah has granted the child a mind capable of understanding, a soul eager for knowledge, and a strong inclination towards values. The child possesses the capacity for attention and memory, which enables them to benefit from what they experience or witness. Therefore, nothing benefits the child except for a virtuous upbringing free from contradictions between words and actions, and between reality and truth. Indeed, Allah has deposited immense abilities within the child. If these abilities are not utilized well in their due time, then they will mostly go to waste thereafter. As long as the child possesses these capabilities, we desire for them a childhood filled with play, yet purposeful and safe play.
