FRANCE : LOIRE VALLEY : TOURAINE : CHEVERNY Chardonnay, Sauvignon Gris LIGHT-BODIED, GREEN APPLE, CITRUS, MINERAL, ALMOND,  BUTTER, YEAST, NO OAK Both lively and rich, ‘Les Carteries’ is a unique blend of Sauvignon Gris (a mutation of Sauvignon Blanc that is less aromatic, but capable of producing richer, rounder wines) and Chardonnay, hand-selected from 15-year-old vines planted on flinty clay and sand soils in a parcel of the ‘Carteries’ vineyard. FARMING : Biodynamic; hand-harvestedWINEMAKING : Natural/low-intervention: whole-cluster fermented in tank with natural yeasts; wine remains on the lees until bottling; unfiltered; no added sulfites. PAIR WITH : Grilled Cheese with Green Apple, Cheddar, and Turkey
