Early James released his Dan Auerbach-produced debut album, Singing for My Supper, via Easy Eye Sound at the onset of the pandemic on March 13, 2020. A pair of bonus tracks – "Tumbleweed" and "Mama Can Be My Valentine" – were shelved after the full year of touring was cancelled.
