Azmaya Copper Tea Canister

Crafted in two versions, pure copper and tinned copper, this airtight, 3-piece chazutsu (tea canister) is traditionally made in Tsubame, Niigata, Japan. At 100mm / 4" tall and 84mm / 3.3" in diameter, the canister is large enough for many days of dry tea leaves, with a brass-handled inner lid plus an outer cover providing protection from the elements. The copper is coated with a thin layer of wax which over time will wear off, allowing the canister to develop a natural patina.
